Why an install guide?

For a number of reasons a guide like this is necessary.
Mainly due to the advances of home PC technology;

• Modern 32 or 64 bit operating systems, like Windows XP and Vista
• Pentium / Dual Core or greater CPUs (>2 or 3+ GHz)
• AGP or PCIe Video Card
• Increased RAM capacity (> 2GB)
• Faster and more spacious Hard Drives (>1TB)

Coupled with the demise of Origin, we've basically been left to our own devices. Luckily we've been able to nurse this game back to the mainstream.

This guide assumes you're a Windows XP Home or Pro or even Vista user and have a PC with enhanced specifications.

Are you a Windows 2000 user? Sorry to say, but you're out of luck. I've not heard of anyone successfully running this game on Windows 2000.

Are you a VISTA or Windows 7 user? Well you're in luck. You may not need parts of this guide. Preliminary tests show Vista Home Premium works just fine using XP SP2 compatability mode on the LB2.EXE!
